UHF Microphone Dash Mount for GU Patrol Series 1-3

Keep your UHF microphone in a handy location with our dash mounted bracket to suit GU Patrol 1-3. These mounts are 3D printed from ASA plastic designed for outdoor use and come ready to install with 3M VHB double sided tape. They have been specially designed with a large mounting surface area to conform to the contours of the dash and so the handpiece is angled towards the driver. It is recommended you use a sunshade and ventilation while the vehicle is parked in the sun to avoid heat damage to the mount.

There are 2x slots for M3 nuts spaced 29mm apart to accept most brands of magnetic or traditional handpiece mounts. You also have the option of sticking adhesive handpiece mounts to the bracket, where a dab of superglue is advised for maximum adhesion. 

Please note that handpiece holders (magnetic or other) are not included with this product. Custom colours or adjustments available by special order. Due to the nature of the manufacturing process some small blemishes may still be visible after post processing. If you are unhappy with your product in anyway please contact us.

Installation:

Warning - adhesive tape forms a strong bond and improper removal can damage dash.

Ensure mounting area is cleaned with an automotive friendly wax and grease remover. Peel film off tape and carefully position mount in location. Apply firm pressure to ensure sufficient contact, allow to settle before placing any weight on mount. At room temperature, 50% adhesion strength is achieved after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours, 100% after 72 hours.

Removal - Carefully pry off mount using a plastic scraper to cut through tape. The adhesive residue can be soaked with solvent and covered with plastic film for 5-15minutes. Once softened, carefully use plastic scraper to remove residue. Solvents to use include - Citrus based cleaner, bug & tar remover, other commercial adhesive removers. Always check product before applying to dash.
